Do they really need The Gospel?
Yes! Unfortunately, many of the doctrines are not consistent with the inerrant word of God found in the Bible. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints members believe their god (Elohim, Heavenly Father) is an exalted man and is one of many infinite gods and that Jesus is a created being born to Elohim and Mary.
LDS doctrine does not affirm the Godship of Jesus or that the atoning blood of Jesus covers all sins. But despite these obvious contradictions with biblical scripture, LDS doctrine teaches that the LDS church is the one true church on this earth and that is why sharing the truth in this area is so important.
LDS doctrine teaches its followers a works-based salvation wherein if they keep their covenants they too can become gods. These troubling doctrines in which the LDS place their hope contradicts the true Gospel of grace alone through faith alone. We hope God uses us to re-establish truths found in Ephesians 2:8-9, Isaiah 43:10-11, and John 1:1-3, that we were created by a Triune God, the only God of the universe, who always has been and always will be, and who sent his only Son, Jesus who willingly gave his life in our place and was resurrected for the forgiveness of sin and eternal life for all believers.
Our prayer for Utah is that we can be an integral part of reaching this group and those that are unchurched with the truth of the Gospel of grace!
